Drainex called immediately after I posted for help on a Monday morning. Only 1 other company called and it was not until late afternoon. When you have a water heater leaking you don't want to wait! Drainex was able to assess the situation, handle the warranty with the manufacturer, and install a new water heater while I was at work. Everything was finished by 4:00 the same day. We had a very good experience with Drainex.  They arrived at the agreed time, did quality work, and charged a fair price.  There were some complications that took extra time than originally estimated in the quote, but there was not request for extra charge.  

Jose and Manny did the work.  We found them to be honest and credible.  Jose knows his craft.  He quoted other plumbing projects we have on our list.  His recommendations and price estimates seemed realistic and fair.  We plan to recommend Drainex to our neighbors and friends, and will definitely have them back.

This company was assigned to me by my Home Warranty Insurance Co after riding a nightmare merry-go-round with the first plumbing outfit (Home Warranty Plumbing of Mission Viejo).
The girl who set up this appointment was sweet and helpful. The plumber (Manual) arrived at 9:15 AM, having given me a 8AM to 10AM window. He even called me ahead of time to let me know he was almost there. So far, so good.
He told me he was there to give a second opinion on the incomplete job left by the first plumber for 2 1/2 months! As soon as he saw what was going on he said, "Let me get authorization, and I will have this fixed right away for you". He was done and gone at 11:00AM including going for necessary parts. One hour and forty five minutes to do what the first company couldn't or wouldn't do in 2 1/2 months!
I needed a special part that the first company told me would cost $393.00 extra. The Drainex plumber got the part and it only cost me $65 extra.
BTW, the work Manual did was first rate. I was thoroughly satisfied.

I had to use Drainex 2 times because we have an older home in Long Beach that always needs some kind of repairs. Each time we called the girl that answered "Norma" was friendly and they came by that day for me. Though our repairs were minor, we found the prices very fair and feel we have always gotten a straight answer .... I have recommended them and my friends were also happy. When the ol' water heater started leaking, I needed a good plumber for the job. Unfortunately, I couldn't find a decent plumber on Yelp. So, what's a person to do in this age of modern technology? Go old school. Yes, I used the handy-dandy yellow pages (combined with the Better Business Bureau's online site) to find me a decent plumber. Drainex to the rescue!

After making an appointment, a worker made his way down to my place, inspected my heater, and gave me a short list of options. It turned out that my water heater didn't need replacement, but simply a quick fix. However, my old water heater seemed to be on its last legs, so I figured a new one would do us some good, especially with winter just around the corner.

Anyway, the plumber that showed up turned out to be Jose Castro, and he took care of us. He had the old heater out and conveniently replaced within a few hours (same day!). Jose and his employees took care of everything (installation, transport of both units, and disposal of the older heater, too). With many of today's businesses moving forward with technological advances, it's nice to know that great customer service still exists.
